Business Expo in Rexburg, President Kim Clark of BYU I Speaks

REXBURG - A business Expo in Rexburg is taking the concept of "buy Idaho" one step further. Today's event was hosted by the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce. Around 50 businesses manned booths at Madison High School, and they all had one thing in mind, "Buy Rexburg." "To Buy Rexburg means to buy local. And that is so important that we have our local businesses purchasing from our local businesses. That means you're helping to support the area, the region, the infrastructure," said Chamber of Commerce President Donna Benfield. While many showed up just to see the vendors, others came for the life lessons from Entrepreneurs like BYU-Idaho President Kim Clark who held up an electric toothbrush to the crowd and asked this question. "Who are the customers for this product?" asked President Kim Clark. The answer isn't actually the user. "How much is it worth to the parent, if the kid actually brushes their teeth?" asked Clark. Rights to this particular tooth brush were sold for 500-million dollars because an entrepreneur figured out how to sell a kid's toothbrush... to parents.
